The cave temperature is 52 degrees year round, so
a sweater or jacket should be worn. Non-slippery shoes are
important. Never wear high heels to a cave.
Laurel Caverns is a natural cave which follows the
natural slope of the mountain. The family tour goes down
approximately 170 feet, and is a total walking distance of about
3,000 feet. There are stairs and sloped floor to walk down as well
as up. So, the tour may be strenuous for some.
Cameras are welcome in the
caverns, but please, no video.
