CLIMBING MERIT BADGE PREREQUISITES:

      The scoutmasters must sign off on these requirements since they are not included in the

      Laurel  Caverns  program:

      Requirement 1:  Know and demonstrate First Aid for Climbing

      Requirement 2:  CPR

      Requirement 3:  Knots - Demonstrate the ability to tie each of the following knots. Give at least  

      one example of how each is used in belaying, climbing and rappelling:

       A.  Figure 8 on a bite

       B.  Figure 8 Follow through

       C.  Water Knot

       D. Double Fisherman's knot
